Our American Bulldogs are hand picked to be a utility dog capable of ranch duties, protection/guardian and game/catch dog work. Whether it is a Hybrid type AB or a Performance type AB, rest assured we strive to keep all of their capabilities intact, just like the days of old. Our goal is to have a stock of AB’s that can do whatever is needed at a moments notice. Health, Temperament and Structure are key to sustaining a quality representation of the breed.

The benefits of owning an AB are unmatched, which is why we are huge advocates and promoters of the American Bulldog. BJBD dogs are Well-Balanced Athletic dogs that demonstrate Great Strength, Heart, Grit, Endurance, Nerve, and Confidence.

  • BoBo

    Calm and wise, Bobo is the perfect companion for someone who wants a best friend. He responds well to commands and is very in tune with his family. His presence can be overwhelming but he is very receptive to unknown individuals who pose no threat. He is one of the most gentle and helpful dogs we have ever seen around young children. Though he has a softer side, make no mistakes, BoBo was built to work. He is a great example of an All Purpose “Utility” AB.

  • Maba

    Maba “Make American Bulldogs Again” is one of the most soulful dogs we’ve ever had in our care. Though serious, she thrives on deep connections and is in search of quality interactions whether it’s sport/working activities or just hanging out. She is very loyal to her family and is easy going with the other dogs. Part guardian, part nanny, she is constantly keeping a watchful eye on everything. She loves physical contact!

  • Sheriff

    At 16 months old, Sheriff is Intelligent, alert and a bit mischievous. He is always up for an adventure. Whether you’re jumping in the car for a weekend road trip, stopping at the grocery store or going hiking in the woods, he’ll be by your side.

  • Mesa

    Mesa, though still not quite an adult, lacks no confidence. She is unbothered by anything that comes her way and is willing to challenge everything. Her demeanor is very sweet but she has a drive that is incredible when necessary. She has never met a stranger! Mesa is Highly intelligent, a problem solver and an independent thinker.

  • Rig

    If it’s game you’re after, Rig is your dog. He’s a pro at chasing, fetching and catching anything you command him to do. He is very calm and relaxed in many different environments. We can’t imagine a better companion for an active family.

  • BJBD Expectation

    At BJBD we expect trainability, athleticism, willingness to leadership, good health and solid structure. All of our dogs have these traits in common, though some may excel in other areas, we strive to maintain each dogs workability, family loyalty, confidence and even temperament for any occasion. Even still, these are not “dog park” dogs, they thrive in a family environment where they can serve and protect.

    Gone too soon. RIP. One of a kind southern Bulldog with a personality and drive that is truly once in a lifetime! He was irreplaceable.
